Hampton and Richmond Borough Football Club is an English football club based in Hampton, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The club was originally founded in 1921 and was formally known as Hampton FC before changing the club name in 1999 in an attempt to draw in wider support from around the borough. The club name was changed to what it is currently known as today, Hampton and Richmond Borough FC. The club itself is nicknamed The Beavers and there is some debate as to where this nickname originated from. The ground is known as The Beveree stadium which is named after the nearby house from whose grounds it was originally part of. This lies next to Beaver Close would suggest where the nickname The Beavers comes from.
